Daft question....

I am selling some forks on fleabay and somebody had asked me :

"Can you tell me what size steerer the forks are please?"

In the item description I have stated the steerer length. Do you think s/he missed that or do they want to know something else?

OK, now for the daft question..... Are all steerer tubes the same diameter? Is this what s/he could be asking?

well you can get 1" steerer tubes and 1.5" ones but i would have thought yours was a 1 1/8" one as the other too are only ont DH or old xc ones.

they are almost all 1"1/8 nowadays, but there are some bigger ones available now, but not many, older bikes were generally 1"

Well it's a pair of SIDs probably about 2 years old so I could assume they would be 1"1/8 right? Only thing is they are from the USA. Will that make a difference?

no they'll be 1"1/8 then, US sizing is the same.
