Itchy eye

My right eye is a bit sore and itchy for the last few days, gets a bit better and then a bit worse, fills up with tears, quite a nuisance... Maybe caused by all the bike riding, wind in the eye and stuff? Is there a condition known as a biker's eye? [B)]

To clip or not to clip, that is the question. Whether tis nobler in the mind of men to suffer the dings and contusions of unclipp'd riding, or to bind thy feet against a sea of gnarly singletrack and by these contraptions, ride o'er them with ease. Dunno mate, but I get flies in my eyes all the time when I'm riding without sunglasses, maybe you've got one stuck somewhere?

You may have Conjunctivitis. I have it at the minute. Should be easy to sort with eye drops. See here

Well, it looks like it but I don't have the symptoms where it says to go to a doctor yet. It was red and itchy when I woke up, but I wore my contacts all day, rode the bike, and it's ok... just a minor itch, it isn't even red. Maybe it'll worsen in the morning but get better after an hour or so again. I still hope it'll go away on it's own...

As Cazz said it may just be Hayfever. Try some anti-histamines and see if it gets better. I wonder if your contacts act as some sort of shield whilst out riding and thats why they itch in the morning because they have been exposed overnight?? My shades seem to make a difference when I'm out on the bike (I have hayfever also [:(]).

Buy some 'heyfever' eyedrops and put some in your eye, so what happens. They are good for all kinds of situations, but sting a little.
