Hi folks.
Been looking at a Brooks B17 saddle. A leather saddle heaped in tradition that moulds to your bum over time.
Also looked at a Tioga Spyder Carbonite. Quite a kinky looking thing thats advertised as comfy.
Brooks 540g. œ40. Very comfy/heavy.
Tioga 140g. œ60. Very light/possible not comfy.
If anyone has any experience with either saddle, I would love to hear your views on the comfort to weight thing.
My riding goes from an hour blast in the woods one day to riding all day sightseeing the next.
Many thanks.
Terry.

The Brooks is a classic saddle, some people have Brooks Bums and feel comfy straight away, most need to wear it in a bit, till the saddle fits properly. The Brooks wil require proper care, leather treatments for rain etc. If you want a good leather saddle, the Selle San Marco is a nice comfy leather one, usually available for about a tenner on ebay.
