Grease gun - not plastic

I bought a grease gun yesterday (Finish Line). I broke the plastic end off before I had chance to squirt one flaming blob of grease.
Looking at others (Bike Hut etc), they all seem to be plasticky too. Does anyone do an all-metal one that I can't manage to snap?
Also, are the screw-in sections of all bike grease-guns the same aperture? And in turn, do all tubes of grease have a uniform threaded top width and thus designed to fit any grease gun?
Ta.

Foz:
Screwed in the Park Tools Poly Lube, then placed the tip inside the open hub, started turning it around the hub and the whole plastic end fell off. Very little pressure, so I suspect the plastic was already compromised or cracked leaving little pressure needed to break off. Either way, no way I could prove I hadn't done it, so new gun needed.
Cheers for the links too.

Could have been damaged in transit or something, my Weldtite one is fine and I've had it 2 years.

Halfords sell the plastic ones as well. Mines lasted 2 years of heavy use without problems. The Halfords red grease is actually pretty good too
