at least they had the looks going for them originally now they look ulgy and are the same fork as old with a new badge.. great!!!!

HAve you ever tried a pair fozz? My mate had some they were really plush but i agree on the reliability issues the seals went after about 1.5 years.

nope rode the older ones though...

look lovely and the ones that work i have heard are VERY plush.. but useless reliability..

A mate of mine has an old set of Pace forks and they're horrible things, no idea why he bought them. I'm not even convinced by DT Swiss anymore after I destroyed my 4.2 rim at the weekend. [:(]

Its seems that many UK manufacturers have poor quality control and reliability. I have had no end of problems with Hope and Middleburn stuff, and others have had issues with Pace. I'm always upset by this as I work in manufacturing, I really want UK made stuff to be the best in the world.

I think it all comes down to insufficient testing.

Which is why as a fat bloke I run a set of Marz 66 forks,heavy but reliable.

edit: I do have a mate though who weighs in around 17 stone and hasn't had any probs with his 130mm(not sure which model)Pace forks

that's true. i'm sure the forks would still have had issues...

you're allowed to joke about taboo subjects - it doesn't mean disrespect - a lot of my extended family died in gas chambers. eg - never heard someone with a disability joke about it?

uurrghhh boy they are ugly.

I had a set of paces on my old NRS and they were fab. My mate has a set on his Gary fisher and his are fab and I was very close to buying a set for the Reign when I built it but I weight up the odds, given that I already had a good set and my mate had a good set the odds of being third time lucky were slim, its a real shame really because the 41's were the bees knees if you got a good set and given the grief I have had with the nixons I may as well got the paces.
