Bad nights riding

Did an epic ride in Great Fryup Dale this evening (love the name of that place). I was riding like it was my first time out, slow and hesitant; gutted really as it was a great ride that needs to be attacked. The ride also has spectacular views, but visability was about 10ft for most of the ride.
Ride was later ruined by consistent chain suck, so I have consigned middleburn hardcoat chainrings into my worst 3 cycling products I have ever bought. They seem to get good reviews but just don't cut it in Yorkshire; another mate had the same issue with them a few years back. Back to shimano then.
I suppose every ride doesn't go your way.

gutted, hate it when you have a bad ride! it can make you not bother the next time you have spare time!
