Late call for Wednesday evening

I was thinking of having an evening trip to GT tomorrow to try my new tyres before the weekend. I was hoping to meet up with Dave tonight but was working quite late.

I fancy a few jumps/skills and then a quick red lap.

Anyone free?

I might be, I wont know until tomorrow afternoon though.

Did the Black then the red at GT today, unfortunately we had to miss out deliverance so we could get back before they shut the car park - bit of a pain as I really wanted to do that section[:(].

Was really good (Black with Stuart W and AlanK and then red with AlanK and Saz) although very wet, especially when we were doing the red.

I will probably text you tomorrow afternoon to let you know about the ride either way.

Cant do Wed but possibly Thursday

Feeling a bit knackered now tbh - and glad I stopped when I did as by the time I drove home I couldnt get out the car with any finess [;)]

Not going to make it tonight, no more biking for me till KT at the weekend which is a bit rubbish as I wanted to get out one more time this week.

Hope you have a good ride, the weather seems to be clearing up a bit.

What time were you thinking, Nick? I need some ecercise but I finish work at about 5.30pm in Falkirk and would need to get home, changed and pick up the bike and head to GT trying to avoid the bypass. I think 7pm would be the earliest I could make it.

I might just go to the Pentlands instead. But I fancy a bit of GT.

Hamish, I can get to GT for 7pm. I will probably get there earlier and so could meet you up by the skills loop, ken. Send me a txt if you can make it, otherwise I will go a bit earlier, as I have just finished work.

It was a bit damp tonight, but managed the red with a couple of extras.
Also went down "Andys Flume", which is a black grade descent off the fireroad. It was pretty good.
Been going to GT for nearly a year and thats the first time I have been down there.

Well done to Househusband for designing it!

I have been down that a couple of times. Once was in heavy rain so know that it must have been "interesting" at certain points with all the rain we have had over the last few days.

There is another similar bit that you can take that is not marked off Pennels Vennel just before the 2nd switchback, well worth doing if you havent already

Hee hee. I always thought Andys flume was just a wind up and not a real trail![:0]
Thought there may just be a dead end in the trees and a pile of bikes and bodies!

Saz - Andy's flume is the black bit to the left side of the fire road before your get to the spooky wood climb. It takes you back onto the blue.
