A Big Round of Applause For................

My son James aged 8
Why?
Because he completed the Wirral Bikeathon this morning. The whole 28 miles[:0]
He raised over œ150 for Leukamia Research. He has 2 friends who are having treatment at Alder hey Childrens Hosp in Liverpool (both doing really well).
Fuelled by fig roll biscuits we completed the round in 3hrs 20. He wanted to carry on at the end[:D]
To say I'm proud of him is an understatement.
I wish I could have ridden that far at his age.
Training was Llandegla, Delamere and the Cairngorms National Park.
So please put your hands together and give him a big clap[:D][:D]

Nice one. Its good to give kids encouragement at a young age. If he keeps it up he could become a racer.

Well done to James!!! Deserves a huge pat on the back and a LOT of chocolate. Saskia did the 10k race for life recently and I was really proud of her. Kids doing this sort of thing are a rarity so tell him we are all proud!

Fantastic! Bloomin' well done to the pair of you. I did a (somewhere near) 20 mile ride today and I gobbled a ton of food when I got back, had a couple of beers and promptly fell asleep for 30 mins. Gobbled a ton more food and was almost back to normal.

For an 8 year-old lad to do a longer ride than me and not be absolutely knackered at the end... it's motivational! All for a good cause as well. Top marks. [:)]
