Red Green Gold Pads

Trying to get my head around
the 3 diffrent pads

looking on the EBC site tells me
that gold pads are not suited for
Downhill Why?

Red pads are only suited for downhill
Why?

Green pads are for everyday

I have gold in my Hayes HFX9's at the
moment they came with the brakes but they
drive me mad with the nose in the damp also
as I have posted before heat fade affects
them, will red pads help?

Gold are sintered pads. Green as you say are for everyday use and red are really soft but mega powerfull pads for dry codition only.
