Also, I need some help colour coding please [:I]

I have just bought the frame in the link below, a pair of SID Dual Air forks with Red lowers (not Black as in the picture) and a Black Easton bar and stem. Do you think I can get away with the same colour coding as in the picture but with the Red forks?? Or do I really need Black forks to pull it off? Or would all silver look better? I wanted to upgrade the stem, bars and seat post to carbon you see but I need to know it will look OK first. If needs be I can replace the forks at some point during the build.

I always liked my frames and forks to match, but it is a very much a matter of personal taste. If you think YOU will like it does it matter what anyone else thinks . Not my cup of tea but its not my ride.

Cheers Tux, I was just having a little trouble visualising it all. I think it will look naff so I am going to change the forks but keep the bars and stem.

If you gona change them makes sence to sell those red ones while they are still new and shiney (with an uncut steerer for that matter), assuming finances allow.

Or maybe shop you got them from will do an exchange?

I got them second hand from a lad at work who was desperate to raise a bit of cash(the whole lot for œ200!!!). Yeah, I plan to sell the old SIDs and put the money towards the build.

Dunk, yeah should be a bit special. I have seen a build using this frame (somewhere online) and the whole bike weighs 18lb's!!

Haha, can't wait to compare it to my Avalanche! Gonna be skint for the next few months though until it's finished! I want to ride it now!!

Dunk, how long until your frame arrives? Are you transferring all the parts from your HT?

18lbs!!! Wow that's like anorexic weight... how didi you manage to get it down to that weight? I got my Klien down to just a smidge under 20lbs. Has it got disc brakes or is the ALuminium frame ridiculously light?

The frame is unbelievably light (to me anyway). Good going with the Klien, bet it was like pooh off a shovel!

Haha, I have trouble as it is keeping the front end down on some of the steep climbs! I will be wheelying up em on that thing! Is your bike back up and running with some nice shiny new parts on it??

As for me klien.. gets me up the steep hills I like to ride up... toss up between that or the scott... can't decide which I like most... (good job I dunna have kids eh?!?)
