Slightly urgent - Directions to Grizedale needed

Hi there,
I'm planning on a trip to the north face trial at Grizedale tomorrow nice and early - I'll be headed north up the M6 to get there.
Which way is best? Looking at the map it's not got an A road going directly to it so can anyone let me know a decent route?
I was thinking M6 J36, and then A590, to Newby Bridge, and then hopefully picking up some signs which will take me down the right B roads but if anyone has a decent route I'd be more than happy to take your advice
Cheers

Follow the signs for Hawkshead, the forest is signed from near by

Cheers for that - I've found some decent directions for some random hotel at Grizedale too so I'll follow those and hopefully I won't be able miss a massive forest!

Cheers guys - Been today and to be honest, I was a little bit disappointed.
I don't think it's as good as other trail parks I've been to. The last mile or two is OK, but the rest of it is either awkward singletrack with rocks cunningly placed so you constantly bang your pedals, or fireroad. There doesn't seem to be any nice long swoopy sections in the first 8 miles or so - All the fun bits are in the last mile or 2. Some of the boardwalk bits are OK, but mostly because they're a few seconds respite for your backside from the bumpy singletrack
Maybe it's a bit unfair as I'm comparing it to places that are regarded as some of the best, like Glentress and Llandegla which have been open longer and probably had more money spent on them. It's a nice place, in a lovely location, it's just that the riding isn't particularly varied.
Bacon butties were pricey though, œ3.45!
Still worth a trip though, I need the exercise. And the pedal bashing could just be down to my lack of skill!

I don't rate the North Face Trail but there is such fantastic natural riding in Grizedale Forest it doesn't need to be great. I'd only do it again as a quick evening ride if I was heading up there for the weekend and arriving late on friday.0
