Rear air shock
Hi there, i am soon going to be (hopefuly) purchasing a bike with fox float rear shock, i am a heavy rider (weight that is, 19stn) is this suitable or should i replace/find a different bike!?
i saw this said on the mtbr coil vs air post thing "I feel that Air shocks are just too unreliable. I've seen too many blow and leave a rider stuck. With a coil you can blow it and still ride it
home."
this has got me thinking lol, can anyone help me ?
thanks

If you're worried about being stuck with a broken air shock, Topeak make a shock pump that you can take with you that can be bolted in place of the shock.

I was 17+ st when I got my first full suss and it was fine. I have had an air shock fail, and whilst it didn't add to my riding experience, I managed to ride it back to the car.

I think i might go for a different bike with a coil shock, i dont want the fear of blowing it out! and it might handle my wieght better. thanks for all your help.
