Hmm, sorry I DONT do the flying thing. I get very anxious and then angry and have started swinging in the past when someone passed comment on it. So I tend to stay on terra ferma (Its better for everyone!) Poss up north to Scotland and I wouldn't mind going to the IOM for a long weekend

Would be up for a Scotland trip....abroad maybe later in the year.

Off to CYB tomorrow & looking forward to it...

Is the Temtiwr worth doing as a warm up ?...I'm going with someone new to Mountain Biking and is hiring a bike down there, if he gets on OK round that then do the Tarw afterwards.

Not done that one Matt, Tarw will prob. have a newbie walking in places. I dont like the "Heart of Darkness" section, I find it bitty, tight, twisty and rooty with no flow. But once thats out the way with, its fantastic. I really enjouyed the Pins and Needles, Flightpath and R74 sections at the end.
See new pics in my sig for a few shots from yesterday.....

CYB was fun, see what you mean about rocky[:D] ,we did the Tarw & also the Temtiwr afterwards....Mate hired a Full Susser so while he was recovering from the Tarw I did half of it again on the hire bike, that's my first time on a Full susser & it's certainly very different to riding a HT.....good fun though, it had flats on (should have put my SPD's on it) so struggled with that as my feet were bouncing off the pedals a fair bit, felt weird not being clipped in! A good day, it was mate'sf irst time on a MTB so he did very well to get round, he walked some of the climbs but was fine on everything else...

Off to Delamere tonight straight from work, be there around 5:30-5:45 if anyones about ?

Bugger, too short notice for me Matt. Just started a shutdown at work, which means my workload just went up.......

Glad you enjoyed CYB, I fell off in "Heart of Darkness" nowt serious, grazed knee and arm. Fell off almost stopped, daft git! Looks as if the weather is going to break just in time for Wednesday's trip to Penmachno, oh well just have to get wet then!

Would love to join you at Penmachno, will be back there for sure. Should be fun if it's wet.

Think the Marin is going to be the next one, we'll have to try and arrange a meet down there either for an evening (6 start latest) or a Saturday...

Hmm, interesting!! I could make the Marin for around 5 ish without taking any time off work- the joys of Flexi time. How about next week sometime for a midweeker.....?

Sounds good to me, can only finish early on Thurs or Friday though...

Friday would be preferable, although Thurs OK(play football Wed nights!) & can finish at either 3 or 4.....Hows that suit you ?

Either day suits me. 3.30 is the earliest I can get away, but yep no worries
Say Friday and on the car park for 5.30 at the latest?

Easy to find, go over the stone bridge in Llanrwst and follow signs to the car park.

8th July - 19miler round the Clwydian range - shop ride with the One Planet bunch at a "social" pace. Anyone fancy it? It starts of at Moel Famau carpark which I reckon is about 3 or 4 miles due North from Llandegla.

It's sufficiently in the future for me to be able to organise myself.

Sufficiently far in the future that I can't!
But it does sound interesting. I sort of know Jim from the shop- he rescued me in the van, when I binned it last year. But yeah, its sounds good. Can you pinpoint it on a map linky thing?

Usually Sundays is not an option for me [:(] , so 8th July would probably not be able to do.

Keep meaning to take a look around the Moel Famau area to, looks to be some good routes around there. Walked up there a couple of months ago.
