Out of interest, I'm running Avid Juicy 7's at the moment, can you use any make of rota or do they have to be Avid rotas? Only that I might start using floating disks at some point!
Does anyone else run a mix of component makers parts?

The rotor must match the caliper, there are other rotors you can use out there its just that they need to match. The key point is to make sure the rotor spider doesn't touch the pads, if it does then you will destroy the pads very quickly. Hope and Shimano make quite narrow rotors so wouldn't be suiatable for avids as they have quite a deep pad shape.

why would you want to use floating rotors? they are not that good. and asfter some use can start to rattle.
