Leisure shoes

I'm after a pair of clipless shoes for MTB. As I commute a decent distance (bout 25 kms each way) during the week I want to have a pair that won't look too out of place if I wear them at work as well, so going for leisure. At the moment my Merrels are the ******** for cycling as I can get them soaked and filthy, bung em under the shower and dry them off and they're fine (pity they don't make SPD shoes too). All the leisure shoes I've seen though have nubuck or suede which from past experience is a bugger to clean.
Any suggestions for decent, hard wearing shoes?
Cheers all.
