? replace Toras with Rebas

Hi,
I'm thinking of upgrading from a Tora 318SL fork - that's a 100mm, solo air job (not travel adjust). I'm actually quite happy with how they work, apart from a minor thump when pulling on the bars while climbing (this appears to be a built in featuren not a fault according to the website), it's not a big deal at all.
The main reason I'd like to change to the Rebas is weight related (1.6 Kg versus just over 2 kg on the Toras). I also hope that the Rebas will be even better in terms of performance - they certainly get very good reviews. Would I notice much difference with the +ve and -ve air chambers over my solo set-up (apart from more fiddling around with a shock pump that is)
Also, there doesn't seem to be much between the basic SLs and more pricey Race / Team models - is that the case? I'm not bothered with a remote lockout.
My bike isn't that light, by the way - an FSR XC Comp (2006); there's probably a limit as to how much you can lighten these things, no matter how much you spend.
Anyway, let us know if you think it's worth doing...
Thanks

I understand that the SL's and Race are the same fork jus that the SL version is OE for bike manufacturers but i could be wrong. Anyway they are nice forks very plush and Merlin are selling th em for just over œ2000

Yes it is worth doing, the Reba's are supposed to be very good, I'm considering getting some for the hardtail!
I think the SL is an OEM version of the Race (OEM= parts specced by bike co.'s to their own spec's)

Tora SL is about 1900g, but you'd still make a nice weight saving. They use the same damper, but the Reba gets the floodgate adjust. Tora also the stiffer fork! But the Reba is excellent.

Thanks guys,
Just need to continue to persuade my other half for central funding approval.
My Tora weighs 2040g.0 -
Reba SL = OE Fork
Reba Race get's external floodgate adjustment over the SL's internal (force req'd to overcome the lockout)
Reba Team gets a lighter crown over the Race
I believe all are available with or without the remote lockout (pop-loc) option.
The weight saving of the team is only 27g, so just weigh up whether you need external (a dial on top of fork) or internal (needs an allen key) floodgate adjustment and go for the SL or Race accordingly (i'd have got the SL if my new bike hadn't come with Teams)
