Race face Headsets?
Anyone had a RF headset before, struggling between a RF Deus HS or a Hope (not getting a Chris King)... or maybe saving some cash and getting the FSA Orbit thingy that Merlin are doing cheap.
Feedback on the RF Deus headset would be good though, comes with a 5 yr warranty so cant be to bad.

œ50, I think it was you that gave me the top info about a pretty good US company that does them for about œ70 but I need it by the weekend as i want the bike to be available to me for next week.
I know all about how good CK are but dont think I will have this bike longer than the 5 yr warranty that comes with the RF headset and couldnt be bothered with the swapping the headsets over stuff.

nah that was the oakley's i sent u a link for originally.
eagerly awaiting mine...
tbh, if youre after a decent quality headset with a decent price, get an fsa orbit XLII. you can get em for 15-20 and they are really good. i have one on my zaskar and i've not touched it for 10 months + and its still as smooth as ever. think a few of the guys here have em too, all with good reports.

Word at my LBS is that the new Hope headsets aren't as good as those of old. Less sealing apparently.
Stuck a Cane Creek S3 dealy in my Inbred. Cheap at around 30 quid or less but looks like it'll do the job for a few years

Thanks for that, I have decided against the Hope headset as I heard something similar, couldnt find the FSA Orbit XL in stock for a decent price and it takes a couple of weeks for the CK to come in so I am just going tfor the Race Face one.
I had forgotten about the Cane Creek S3, they are meant to be pretty good.

Aah, the A3! Passed his driving test about 30secs before stuffing it into a ditch. Told him he couldn't bunny hop a car like he can a bike. His missus was well pleased (it was her car) - she went out and bought a VW T4 at the weekend to replace it!
