Possible New Forks

Bought my Specialized Hardrock Sport in November and not disappointed but reading many comments saying it has basic components and I'm thinking about upgarding the forks. Should i just wait till the 'RST' ones give up or would buying some decent ones(thinking around œ150) really make a big difference? If spending that much should i look at new and if so what or look at 'classified' and pick up 2nd hand. Travel on the current ones is 100mm so should i look at the same?
Has anyone else got one of these bikes and upgarded the forks and to what effect.

I would ride the RST's into the ground and then invest in some Rebas. The SL is around œ220 from Merlins. Cheaper forks are available such as Bombers, but you wont go wrong with Rebas.
I would avoid second hand because they might already be 5hagged and you could end up spending more on servicing. Not to mention hassle.

Shouldn't be long to the RSTs die...
150 in the realm of the Tora and MX pro, but Rebas are superb

Tora's would get my vote, but then i put them on my hardrock sport, i do think they suit the bike though.

Which Rebas seems to be loads on CNC website? Confused by all the different models.Would the extra money outlayed on Rebas really make all that much difference over the Mx/Toras?0

Rebas will give great performance, but it depends on how long you intend to keep your bike etc. The frame on the hardrock will eventually become a limiting factor, and at that time if you have great kit you can buy a new frame and build it up with your existing kit. If you intend to buy a complete new bike in a year or so then i'd go for a cheaper option like the Tora or MX's and save the rest of the money towards a new bike.

Hardrock will be staying with me for a good few years unless my 6 numbers come up then it won't matter.Intend to basically change everything on the bike over the next few years starting with the forks so would you say go with the rebas? and how much price difference between them and the tora/mx?0

Cheapest Reba now is about 225: Tora as little as 90 at CRC, MX pro is 145.
