Rear mech size

My lovely wife has just treated me to a new spanking set of sram x0 shifters and rear mech as an early 30th burpday pressie [:D]

She has ordered the large sized rear mech for me on chain reaction which led me wondering what difference the small and medium size cages make on rear mechs. Should we have ordered a medium instead?

My bike is a Yeti 575 if that makes any difference.

It is all to do with range. you have a 3 ring set up at the front so a long cage is correct.
