SRAM 991 / 991 Cross Step

Hello all,
Just on CRC looking at chains (mine's due to be replaced).
I currently ride with a SRAM 991 and quite happy so was just going to order another. However, noticed they have a 991 Cross Step for an extra fiver. Just wondering if anyone knows what the difference is between the two and if it's worth the extra money. Also, any other chain recommendations ?
Thanks in advance
Dave

Its the riveting process in the pins: makes them a bit stronger than the hollow pin, but 20g heavier.
