Hike and Bike

Myself and a few mates are looking to do a hike and bike we fancied something different walking up a mountain lugging your bike up and then finding the a great decent down all in the name of fun and decided to make a weekend of it we are all living in the north east but are willing to travel futher afield we have thought about the lake district and just wanted to know if anyone has some suggestions for alternatives a good hospital near by is a must[:D]

As for Helvellyn, you can ride up it a well if you want. Jon (Capt. Jon on here) is trying to organise an epic ride for a load of us that ride in the North East, you'd be more than welcome to join us.....
