You coming to Guisborough on Sunday??
I kinda assume I'm giving Gordon a lift (although Carrie might be giving him a lift and then on to Hamsterly??) but if you can sort out getting there it should be a good day out.
Oh yeah, and I'm probably not gonna make Thursday night now, being forced to go to the pub quiz instead.....
Trust me, I'm a doctor!

I wasn't planning on giving Gordon a lift, he didn't ask me...

Yeah he's still alive, internet's been on the blink for a bit and he can't get on through the day.
Dunno if he's got plans for Monday, you'd have to message him.

We 2 are going for a ride up top round Osmotherly friday night, leisurely ride, no bombing about for us old farts. [8D] Will probably park in village around 6-6.30ish and go up through track by res. Anyone welcome to come.
Glentress Sunday too. [:D]
Would like to try out Guisborough woods, we are into blue and red type routes (not body armour stuff) can anyone point us in the right direction to any memory map routes or maps. Probably try it one night next week.

It was a good ride - Carrie and I beat our previous time by 13 minutes. Shame the cyclocross boys were an hour late back to the car park [:(!]

I kind of expected the CX boys to be late back, I know what that Jim's like when he's anywhere near a pint [;)] I was just annoyed at having to stand around getting bitten to death by midgies knowing that they were taking their time in the pub.
The ride last night was great Jon, I reckon we could easily get it to under 2 hours!!

Did someone mention a pint?
I didn't even realise we had an expected back time but with hindsight we should have made the pub the start/end point - next time...
I really enjoyed our ride too but I don't half hurt today, I'm getting a bit old to fall off as much as I do - 3 times last night. Twice I got my wheels stuck in a rut and my attempts to free them resulted in me being dumped - once into nettles, once into brambles - and then (and this was before the pub) I forgot what bike I was on and tried to jump over this badgers hole. Gordon reckoned I got the wheels a good foot off the ground, which would have been great if I'd landed it, but unfortunately I didn't and hit the dust like a sack of spuds - oof!
The bike carnage continues though, just given Gordon my front wheel to straighten out and I think that new hanger may now be bent.

[V] Too much carnage methinks. Kudos on trying to jump a badger hole on the crosser though Jim! Mucho impressivo.

There's jumping and there's landing, I think you really need to marry the two to claim kudos.
