Further to my recent questions about my vibrating / screeching brakes (Which is now sorted, thanks for all the advice). Am I going to do my Rock Shox Tora any damage by working on my bike upside down? I.e. The bike upside down not me.... [:D]

Nope, infact in can be good for them, as aloows the oil to get to the uppers. Might not be good for hydraulic brakes if left for too long.

It was only upside down for about 10 minutes whilst I changed the pads etc..0

If nothing leaks out then its not done brakes or forks any harm
The fear is air will migrate from the brake resevoir to the calipers where it isnt so good, but of course by the same token it will migrate back to the resevoir when they go back up the right way

They (not sure who that is...) say that its good to leave the bike upside down everynow and then as it helps lubricate the fork.
No idea about the brakes...

A bloke at my LBS said the same thing about Fox Vanillas. I asked him just what it was that he thought would happen and he gave me one of those "oh really, as if you know anything that I don't" looks.
I cannot for the life of me imagine what harm could be done - I think he's talking nonsense. In fact, when you change a Vanilla 32 spring, the Fox manual tells you to give them a good old tip to slosh the oil about.
