Full suspension bike for œ1800 & another question

Hi all !

I am (as the title suggests) looking to spend œ1800 on a full sus (preferably 5" travel), at the moment I am stuck between the Stumpjumper elite and the Orange 5 S (with a fox forx upgrade), any other suggestions or experiences with either of these two ?

Also, Its june, is it worth waiting till the 08' stuff comes out ? when is it normally that this happens ?

...or at least discounts on the '07 stuff that didn't sell as well as predicted. In many cases, that means good deals on great bikes, but some ranges didn't sell so well because they weren't good enough compared with the competition. I only point this out as a means of suggesting you don't jump on a deal just because it's a big discount; apologies if it's a "grandmothers/sucking eggs" comment, but best it's mentioned.
