There are 3 types of headset, normal, integrated, semi integrated (zero stack).

I believe your bike takes a semi integrated, the same as mine (XC120). I use an FSA-ZS3 and think it's good for the money.

There were some WTB inner peace kicking around on ebay a while back for a tenner.

Dunk the headset is a semi integrated one, 44mm internal diameter with a stack height of no more than 11mm, as already mention FSA Orbit Z fits the bill however don't worry about buying a headset as the frame already comes with a FSA. The one mine came with has been going strong for 2 years and show no signs of giving up soon so its not something you need worry about upgrading [:)]

I prefer to use the term internal headset, or zero stack than semi integrated.

It is indeed a zero-stack headset (same as my old VT). Hope have started doing one which uses stainless bearings. I have a ZS-3 and they're OK. Bottom bearing only lasts about 1 winter BUT you can get a stainless replacement which last much better. Email from importer:

"You will need to order them thyrough your
local bike shop or mail order shop if you prefer. The stock code for these
is 160-6465 and they retail for œ14.95 each."
