Just came back! After I moved the levers and shifters about half an inch inward, I could brake with one finger and hold the bars with three and the difference is huge! I enjoyed the track which made me curse before... [8D] Here are some pics and a vid!
Broken dropout
The boys performing a derailleur bypass surgery for the lady
I gave him the ride of a lifetime...

P.s. I'm getting more and more satisfied with the Dart 3's... I rode fast over lots of stones and roots, did some jumps and drops, but they never seem to go over 90mm of travel...
To clip or not to clip, that is the question. Whether tis nobler in the mind of men to suffer the dings and contusions of unclipp'd riding, or to bind thy feet against a sea of gnarly singletrack and by these contraptions, ride o'er them with ease. To clip... to slip no more, and by clipping to end the buttache and the thousand natural shocks that ryders are heir to; tis a consummation devoutly to be honed. No clip - to slip perchance to be thrashed most heinously...

Thank you guys! [8D] I thought you'd say I jump like a pensioner... [:D]
But this is only the beginning of my jumpiness! I'm progressing cautiously, my aim isn't to jump like a maniac (big jumps aren't healthy for a hardtail, right?) but to maintain stability and control when I do jump... Because sometimes it's much easier (and more fun!) to jump off a drop at speed or fly over a bunch of rocks and roots than to brake and shake while going over it with both wheels... You just fly over the problematic section, land nicely and keep the speed. Vertical obstacle avoidance! [:)]
Ps I played with the original video a bit, here are the frames of the fork just before landing and as it's fully compressed... You can still see a bit of stanchion so that means it didn't bottom out, right? I felt no whack, nothing out of the ordinary as it landed.
Just about to land...
Poing!

The crown doesn't compress all the way to the lowers - even when bottoms some stanchion will be visible - I think about 5mm with current RS forks. But you want all that travel used when you land something big.

It's very comfy! When they get wet of sweat, it stays in contact to the body and doesn't cool down as if it would if you had wider clothing. And it doesn't shift the position between your butt and the seat, as cloth pants do, and no groin wedgies and stuff...
Lycra forever! lol [:D]

When it bottoms, do you hear a Thwonk and feel a hard impact? I never felt something like that on mine yet. Would that be bad? Increasing preload could be the answer though...

When they bottom out you will feel an impact. Won't do too much harm if it happens once in a while, but if the impact is hard and happens too often it could cause damage

Thanks! I'd like to record some descents in first person view like you do, but I'm using a camera borrowed from my old man (Canon Ixus 65), and I'd hate to break it! I mean, the thing costs like a pretty good suspension fork (why would anyone want to buy a camera when he can buy a fork is beyond me though [:D][:D])
It can record a fair ammount of high frame rate video, more than enough for a nice downhil... If I could firmly secure it to myself somehow, it would make some pretty nice videos, but I'd have to improvise with the camera holder... I'd play with it if it were mine, I mean what better use is there than to record exciting rides [:)], but this way I don't know. What if I whack a tree or it falls out or something? [:I] That kind of camera simply isn't made for that sort of use.
