These frames are getting far too common

No not yet. I will chase up next week. I really need them to sort out the build (brakes, gears bars etc all depend on the forks)

It may grow on me and look different when the bike is fully built up.
The saddle will offset the bulkiness of the clamp.

Just looking at your photos, I've noticed how similar my plan for next year's bike is as well. I'm treating myself to a new XC steed for university which is probably going to built around a Kinesis Maxlight XC Pro 2 frame but with very similar components to yours so I'd love to know how you get one with it.

It will cost me in excess of œ1,500 when finished.[:0] I have bought from the usual places (Merlin, CRC UK Bikestore etc) to try and get the best deals.
I knew that it would not be a cheap build.
The Malt 4 I wanted with similar spec was going to be œ1,530 so comparative really.
I will have the satisfaction of building myself, and of course sharing the experience with you guys via this forum.[8D]

Nice bike so far. Sounds like its gonna be a proper nice ride once your done. Im kinda trying to finish building mine but havent got the money to replace all of the compeonts from my old giant yet.

I know what you mean the cost is just rising, but only the forks to add to the cost and that should be it.
I have however just exploded the tube in the front wheel (probably not in right due to hurrying due to impending fork delivery.

some classic quotes on your flickr pages (all said in jest)

you'd think so... but the Steel and Ti versions are almost the same weight... :S *me confused* no idea why this is though..

only one wheel... you've been diddled [:)]

that puncture looks......... different it's on the wrong side to be a puncture it's on the underside of the tube so either a Spoke has gone through it or you have pumped it up with a twist or a pinch and BANG it's gone pop...

I Think I pinched the tube when fitting.
It went with a loud bang about 10 mins after inflation.
I was busy in the garage doing something or other when it went off.
I though it was a drive by[:0]
