bleeding quick fix

i need to bleed my brakes (hayes nine) but dont have the relevant blled kit and wont have befroe a planned ride tommorow. i seem to remember reading somwhere about a quick fix, somthing along the lines of opening the resevoir at the lever end and letting the air creep out then topping up the fluid. is this possible with hayes does anyone know.

there pretty close, rear brake is about ten mill of the handle bars at full squeeze.
id send it to the lbs but they wanted œ15 for one brake. plus i aint got the time.

personally i wouldn't ride with bodged brakes too much posibility that they might break and end your ride.

have a look on part tools i think they have a good right up for bleeding brake or on the site of the maker of your brakes, you should be able to buy all the things you would need from you lbs, also i would not ride you bike untill you have got the brakes sorted as they dont sound in a very safe state, lol

Try zip tying the lever back to the bars and leave it overnight in the morning your lever should be nice and firm
