Meeting up with some mates to ride Cannock Chase and looking for a decent campsite in the area does anyone know off any?
Also what's difficulty level at Cannock Chase I've done red route at Dalby Forest and The North Face Trail at Grizedale and coped ok-ish had one or two moments on the boardwalk sections of NFT and the blokes I'm meeting up with haven't really done any real MTBing but a fit enough. Any advice would be good.

    Have a look here:

It's a caravan site, but has tent pitches too.

Cheers thanks for that. Looking at the website the 'Follow the Dog' track looks ok.

FTD is great JayC, but it doesn't have the height variation that is at Dalby or NFT. To get the best out of it (especially if you have a whole day up there), try and get someone to show you around. The trails away from FTD are fantastic IMO and it's not really worth spending a whole day on just the one trail when there is so much more up there. Don't get me wrong, it's a great intermediate trail and a lot of fun, but it's only 11km long and it shouldn't take anymore than 1-2 hours to get round it even if you're taking it easy.

Have a looksie at http://www.bikeadventuresuk.com/forum/ A lot of these guys know the place back to front and will put you right.

I may be able to give you a tour myself, depends when really. I live down South now, so i'm not up there too often.

Cheers Fully. brother is coming up with his new Giant from Surrey with his mate so should be good. I'll check out that website and get in contact. Loved NFT & Dalby they were my first intro to 'proper' biking and can't get enough of it.
