For the rear mech it is supposed to be tuliped into the end of the last piece of outer. For the Front mech you are supposed to fold it back on itself about 3" before the mech and put 2" of the clear tube over the fold, apparently.

tulliped? fold it back on its self how the hell do you do that? and if thats the case then ive balls'd it up.0

Tulliping, you cut the inner into four (just a little bit) and fold it out, then it get stuck between the outer and the ferrule at the end of the run.
For folding it back on itself do the same but for a bit longer and fold it all the way back rather than just splaying it out. It should have mentioned this in the instructions, or at least mine did, and the inner jacket was grey, not green.

cheers tom,
ive got u with the tuliping, i havnt done that, but have the slack for to do that. does it make a difference that the cable doesnt run underneath the bottom bracket. fitted to santa cruz blur.
yep definatly green. wonder why that is,0 -
hang on, for the front mech, look at the photos of my scott, you can see it quite well in this photo, in fact you can see both mechs. The tuliping cannot be seen but you can make out where the inner ends and the clear goes. Plus i get to shamelessly show off my bike!

cheers dude, checked your photo and an make out the clear section of housing, i presume below that is the cable with no housing and above the clear housing is the internal jacket. hope that makes sense. just checked i think i can save it. whats the point of the clear sleeve? any idea?
cheers for the help. much apriciated.

You've got it right, no idea about the sleeving though, just followed the instructions. I think it makes it much harder for crud to work up inside the inner but i'm not sure.

aright steve.
i thought the instructions were pretty poor. sounds like from some good advice included in this post. have a look at fozzys photos for some more detailed photos of them in situ.
allso id be interested in knowing if the internal jacket on the set you get is grey or green.
cheers.0
