Merida MTB's - Any good?

Hi everyone,
Was looking at something a little different for my next bike and thought I would take a look at Merida's Matts TFS range.
Has anyone got one or know anyone with one to give me an idea of what they are like? See the link below for the range.

Mmmm Merida. IIRC The biggest bike company in the world. Make may of Halfords bikes. Oh and they own about 50% of Spesh.
