What is the difference between LX 11teeth jockey wheels and XTR 11teeth jockey wheels thats warrants a œ20 price difference???
I broke one of my jockey wheels on my XTR mech yesterday at Woburn but at œ28 a set I may as well ditch the old mech get a new 07 xtr mech

I thought I read on my XT jockey wheels "sealed bearings" as well? I may, of course, have been dreaming it0

Maybe its 'sealed cartridge bearings' lol! There is a difference, but they do cost a hell of a lot for XTR. Mind you they do last, never replaced mine once on my 1996 one.

And there was me looking for an excuse to ditch the old mech in favour of a new shiney one.
I do like the the big shiney x on the new mechs, it looks very cool.
However I will curb my spending sillyness and go for a set of them shiny jockey wheels on ebay.

just spoke to the chap and told him about the forum interest and he says there is a review of the kcnc products in a whatmtb mag soon. he's getting more stock in soon so he has the full array of colours as apparently, they are selling really well.
we've officially been pimped.

yup. 27.99 from chain reaction. however, i think œ12 for some anodised ones with sealed bearings is a much better price. the remaining money can then be spent on a set of flying snakes. ooh, shifting goodness.

Not wanting to throw a Spaniard in the works, but surely with those holes in the jockey wheels mud would stick more not less[:0]
Now someone come up with science and stuff to prove me wrong.

But they are lighter, plus you have more room to push the mud out of the chain that way. It certainly isn't that bit an issue, look at cassettes and chainrings.

I class this as a great find and as cheap for these as the XT wheels on CRC...[^]
More anodized, blue bling for my new-build, white VT on it's way (rear blankers, Hope spacers, adjuster on new Phaons, dust caps, jockey wheels..[8D])!!
The old ones had suffered a bit during the winter, honest! They'll stay on as backups, in an emergency so I am being careful of the bank balance!
