Trailblasters are not 3 season IMO, they are for bone dry conditions only. Fire XC pro are a better all rounder.

Schwalbe Nobby Nic front and Racing Ralph rear are a 3 season combo.Add a Nobby Nic on the back for winter.Brilliant tyres, and 490gNN and 460gRR for a 2.1.

Yes, (although I have never ridden them) Schwalbe are meant to be incredible. I think www.actionsports.de is meant to be the cheapest place to buy them from.
I know loads of people think Fire XC Pros are great but I might prefer my Trailblasters. The Fire XC Pros seemed more sluggish, steering was not as good and they fill up with mud real quick. Anyway thats just my opinion but most people seem to like the Fire XC Pros better.

I have a mix of Conti travel contacts and Panaracer Fire XC pros. The Contis are obviously for touring and commuting, and the panaracers are for trails and XC.
The panaracers have been used for a year, in all conditions and weathers; and are utterly brilliant, unless you want to go fast with little effort, or want to ride on the road.
I've found grip and mud shedding great; but the drag on fast rolling surfaces is quite substantial.
Overall, i would highly recommend them though. Just consider exactly what you are riding on.

I started using the Nobby Nics recently, very good tyres and excellent rolling - have used them in wet, dry, trail centre and natural and been fine on all surfaces. The Fire XC Pro is a better rolling tyre than the Cinder but the Cinder is a better all year round tyre.
I wouldnt buy the Trailblaster for anythig other than dry riding. The Panaracer Razor is also very good for dry riding but is also ok for light moisture in the trails.

If you can only afford one set of tyres I guess you would, unless you are going to put your bike away for quite a bit of the year.

I would get Fire XC over schwalbe nobby nics. The schwalbe are good for grip, however they seriously don't last very long, I got them from good to knackered in two months whereas I can get 6 months out of a panaracer set. They seem to wear strange as well, the outer knobs wear at the inside base where they join the tyre, this means that after about 2 months use they start to give unpredictable handling. Cinders and Fire XC pro wear more predictably and offer better performance through their lifespan.
