That looks interesting, I think I'll probably give it a go. Thanks for pointing it out.

I'm signed up but my bike is in need of some repair - new wheel, new rear mech and dropout straightening - so fingers crossed. There's some good riding in the area: not highly technical in my experience but very enjoyable.

That's so tempting. Even just to do the half distance as I'm not fit enough to do the full distance in 2 weeks time! And it's only an hour and a half from me. Hmmmm... Now to convince some friends to take part AND drive me there...

yeh not sure which distance to do yet, probably decide on the day. although i expect you can decide right up to the point where the ride splits (maybe)?

Yup. Hardest enfduro I've done to be honest. The long grassy slogs were a bit of nightmare. Manages to bin it about 500m from the finish.
  • 5hrs 12min of the meanest climbs!

And that bean and pitta bread meal...looked pants but tasted so good.

yep some tuff climbing there, the 75k was an absolute killer, 7 hrs in the end. but i did fall asleep on the grass at the first water stop, my wife threw a surprise 40th birthday party the night before, never a good idea, doesn't go well with riding the day after...........

the bean and veg stew was nice, but tbh i'd have eaten almost anything when i'd finished.

glad i did it though, just to prove how unfit i actually am............

  • I been told that the top guys there took a full hour off what I considered my excellent time...how do they do it??

7hrs is a very respectfull time...I heard people were still coming in over the 8 and half hr time.

I have to own up and say that I did the shortest route possible. I'm in awe of those who did the full course.
