Yes, I love these Dursleys, the BBC4 programme 'Thoroughly Modern' shown recently was about bikes and one of the contributers was riding his Dursley Pedersen

I heard it is similar to a modern day bike - and the earlier Dursleys were lighter because of the way it is constructed it can be very strong but light.

yes, let's hope he rides it on ground that's not too rough and it does not break. although, at the time they were made the roads must have been terrible compared to nowadays so they could be quite tough frames.
i wish i had a spare œ800 to get one!

Replying to the 'Original Pedersen' picture a person has added a link to the company that is still making Pedersens today - 12 versions of it.

possibly, are you talking about mainly road and very light off-road? because the only MTB i have at the moment is my 24in dirt jumper which is no good for distances so i would have to use my cruiser. meet where and what time?

Stickman, no it's mostly off road, lots of single track as well, i don't think the cruiser would be a good choice. i've not got a spare bike at the moment either.
