anyone bought one of those thomson layback seat posts off ebay? i got a Gobi saddle but the spesh seatpost i got with my stump has got a really trick bolt right under the saddle so i want rid of it.

basically supplied to a manufacturer as PART of a kit for a bike build..

normally OEM stuff has "Quirks" like shorter travel. nasty colours etc..

OE is original equipment, a line of stuff specifically built for bike manufactuers at reduced cost to them, and usually not quite as well made as the genuine after market stuff. You still have a guarentee with the shop, but they cannot send them back to the fork maker for repairs or replacement. However the shop still must honour the guarantee and sort it for you if the ***** up, within reasonable time or you can geta refund.

If anyone is in the market for Hex Keys, Homebase are discounting some hideous looking black/orange Kosch tools.

There's a 10 piece rubberised T-Handle hex-key set (ideal for rounding off your hex screws!) with 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 5.5, 6, 8, & 10mm keys. The 6, 8, & 10mm ones have both long and short keys (the rest have just long) all for a bargain œ6.34

I just bought my first hydration pack for œ11.73 in Costco tonight. It's made by High Sierra and the bladder, tube etc are made by Source Vagabond who make the same parts for Deuter. It's quite similar to this but a tiny bit smaller at 9 litres. Haven't used it on the bike yet but it seems like a bit of a bargain!

Yeah the visor disapeared off mine the first trip out. Found it in the car 6 month later - it took me a few minutes to work out what the hell it was. I don't bother with it now.
