Yes, I have had a search button performance!
I have just picked up a rather pimp ass Big Hit (24" A.R.T. REAR) and it currently has Swampthings shod both ends.
Can anybody recommend me some tyres for the up-coming trip to Morzine for me. (Bit of a nOOb in FR/DH tires)
Currently placing an order on Wiggle, and if I bump up the order I get a discount[:D] Any suggestions??

The best all rounders: High Roller in 42a front and rear.
If it's dry, then a Minion 42a up front and HR 42a rear.
Swamp things are winter tyres for when things get muddy.

doesn't matter. just drift everywhere if it's dry, or slide everywhere if it's wet

I can't see any 24" high rollers on wiggle.

I've taken a lot of advice from loads of different people and the spec i've chosen is:
F: Minion DHF 2.5 42a
R: Minion DHR 2.5 60a0 -
It was godamn wet there a couple of weeks ago. The dh track to the left of the lift (facing dh) was hideously muddy in places.
I found my high rollers ok once it started to dry out a bit.
Expect a range of conditions. If you can take a couple of sets of tyres then pack your swamp things and your high rollers. If not your HR's and expect to be squirmey when it rains0 -
Michelin comp 16 front / comp 24 rear...great dh set up! High Rollers are dependable too - 40 or 42a front / 42a or 60 rear (depends on your wallet). Maybe minions if you know it's gonna be super dry. A couple of my friends really rate Intense tyres too, maybe worth a look.
Either of those set ups should hold up well in almost all conditions (bar extreme wet). Oh yeah, personally I wouldn't touch the Nokian Gazzas - mine were terrible & I changed them asap!

i'm sorry, but nokian make some shoddy tyres. you'll get more grip with slicks than with them.

i find that Gib is correct here, apart from i dont like the high roller on the front.
But IMO, minion 42a on front and HR rear, whether it be 60a or 42a tyre compound. I personally run 60a HR on rear, and Minion 42a on front.
