Anyone who says Solid Snake hasn't played Double Agent...

Sam is a total badass when he goes into the prison. I came when I watched it. Snake just throws magazines for guards to look at at a distraction. Sam has a fucking sonic wall mine.

Ok, but take away Solids Comlink, leave him with a socom.
Take away All Sams NSA back up, leave him with the gutting knife. Put them both in the desert 6 miles away from each other with one objective. To kill the other.

Ok, I'm working on it.
I've just booked them a charter flight to nevada, and the NSA know nothing about it. The clever part is that sam won't be allowed to take his guns on the plane, so that's taken care of too.
