FAO: Computer/IT People - Pixels

At the top of my screen, I have lots of lines of damaged pixels, im sure this is du to their being mant line and toolbars there, as the biggest one is where the windows title bar is. Anyway, is there a way to fix them? They change colour, but are a different shade from the rest of the screen.

I can't post a screenshot, as they obviously don't show up as they are on the screen, rather than the outputted image.

But if there is loads it might be time to get a new monitor

Also, check the connections between monitor and pc, if they are loose it can cause interferance

Cheers, although pushing on them doesn't work.
Connection is fine, I'll try and get it under warranty.

I'll give it a try, but its not a dead pixel, they are just slightly discoloured.

thats good, dead pixels cant be fixed. But ones that are stuck (constantly showing same colour) often can, so you might be lucky

Hmmm, didn't realise that there were programs to fix it. I'd get it warrentied though.

worked for me a couple of times, but I suppose its a bit hit and miss

How long did you have the program running for? It has to have at least 20mins on the affected part.
