Mavic ust leaking from Spokes.

I have just recently bought a second hand pace with Mavic Crosmax SL ust's (never used tubeless before) on it and cant get the back tyre to stay up for long. we have had a lot of standing water in hull this week a bit flooded and i went thru about a mile of standing water and the tyre was flat within 2 mins.
the spoke holes had air bubbles coming out of them.
Should i get a sealant or should the mavics not leak out of the spokes? the front wheel is fine!
Thanks
jon

On the mavic UST rims it shouldnt be possible for them to leak out the spoke holes as they dont go right through the rim. You may still see bubbles coming out because of air in the middle layer of the rim. Your best bet is the sealant or just put an inner tube in

You should always be running a sealant with tubeless systems.

first identify where the leak actually is. as starky said not possible as the rim designwill not allow it.
i would remove the tyre and have alook at what you actually have before adding anything.

Yeah, the outside of the rim is a completely sealed unit, check for any damage but I can't imagine why that is happening.

ok been a bit of a newbie to tubeless, the front wheel did not have air bubbles on it, could it be the seal for the valve leaking into the rim? if i use sealant which sealant should i use?

The Valves can leak if not installed properly/damaged. Although i dont know about it leaking into the spoke hole areas. having not used ust rims in the past.

Check the valve is done up tight enough - should be a little black knurled ring that you can tighten up against the rim. If air is escaping through the valve - it could be wondering around in the gap between the outer and inner wall - which would explain why it's coming out of the spoke holes.
If you've tried tightening the valve, and it still does it, try swapping it with the front one. If that solves it, you've established you need to either by a new o-ring or just a whole new valve. Otherwise, you do have a serious issue with the rim.Shut up. And ride your bike.Originally posted by Jon

Sorry, forgot to mention sealant.
Best one I've used is Bontrager "Super Juice", available through Trek Dealers.

I don't think this is a tyre issue...
