is off because her kid is ill, what a lame excuse. now i have to do extra work because she's off. if you can't run a job properly because of your kid then don't have a job. if it happened once it'd be fine, but this happens like every week - tw@t[:(!]

We have a girl at work like that, she's moronic enough to call in and say her kid is ill then a few hours later she'd come into the store shopping with the kid in tow.
I really can't stand people who call in sick often, I have worked at my place for just over 18 months and I have called in sick once.

its not how it was meant to come out..... i don't mind her being off if her kid is ill, obviously she needs to look after him - but its the fact she always lies about it

Last time i pulled a sicky was for waking up late (and hung over!) If i went in late I would have got permanet warnings, stay off for 2 days, everyones happy!

I went through school with taking only 6 days off, that's from Infant School until I left for college. Work wise I've had a few weeks off overall, but only due to stuffing up various limbs from riding & stockcars....
