  • youll notice a massice hole in tou bnk statment mostly, and a far lighter bike, and also faster accelerating, with far smoother shifting.

Yes, you will indeed notice a difference. I think you're mad for asking this now after spending œ900. Nice choices though.

Personally, I'd have gone for forks, wheels and brakes.
You bought some top kit though, congrats.

The brakes are very nice but only come with very small rotors but depending on your size and riding you may be fine with them. Other than that very good buy(s)

You know the Attack shifters and the X-0's have diffrent pull ratios. What rear mech are you running, as you'll probably need to change that too!

    X.0 FULL Kit muppet.

X.0 Full kit - you'll notice just how precise and dependable it is. That, and it really lets you know when it's shifted.

Forks: Great choice, Can't really fault Vanillas really.

Brakes: Poor choice. I know they've got better, so I'm not saying they are bad brakes, just that there are several brakes which work a lot better for the same, or less money...
Formula Oro's/Avid Juicy/Shimano XT... need I go on?

i agree with the forks and gears, but the hope brakes are The best i've ever used by a huge margin. There really is no comparing them with shimano/avid/hayes. although i've not used formula's so can't comment on those. but having used several sets of brakes in the past, i've always gone back to hope very quickly.

    Which Shimanos/Hopes have you used?

Hopes when they are on form are hard to beat, but finding a set that are 80% reliable is very hard.

However, the Shimano Saints I had, and still have on another bike just work, 100% of the time. And despite only being a 2pot, urinated on, then danced around the Mono M4's I had before.

The Formula's are the only brakes that I've found that work any better than the Saints.

    "<b>Shifting gear</b>:

A bit confusing seeing as i take that to mean shifters, and X0 Full kit to mean F&R pair.

I say SRAM X.0 , muppet for buying it, its pointless unless you're a pro with mechanic support.
What are you gonna do when you smash the mech up on your first ride?

Yes, but mechs are prone to bending/breaking and when you do break it, it will be a helluva lot of cash spend. Example: Not many people buy XTR as the performance jump from XT isn't enough to warrant the price.
