bikes on buses

Well basically if i can get my bike on a bus i can go riding tomorrow at Rogate but if i can't then i cant go riding simple as.
So my question to you is can i take my bike on a bus and has anyone taken their bike on a bus before if so how?

Yes and no, sometimes they let you and sometime they don't. Is it a regular bus or a coach type bus?

Sometimes they will, sometimes not. Try taking the wheels off, they might be more lenient.

Regular stagecoach double decker bus, what about if i took off the wheels and bars and wrapped it all in bin bags?

I bent my wheel when cycling in Arran. The let me on then. You could let the air out your tyre and say your desperate to get somewhere. Then pump it back up; obviously.

you gotta worry more about getting back if your bikes all muddy from the wet weather we've been having lately. me and a mate were forced to wat over 4 hours in the dark when the trains stopped running because out bikes were dirty and the coach that was sent out wouldnt let us on!

not our fault the train caught fire..!

I can get a lift back so getting back shouldn't be a problem so in the morning im gona try it with the plastic bags i shall post pics of the angry bus driver if he doesn't let me on haha

I did it and the bussies were really nice. I just took the wheels off in the end and wrapped in bin liners and duct tape. Rogate was uuuuber awesome got both the main doubles at the bottom done and watched my mate break his wrist over the second double. Still it got me a free lift back as i had to change gear for him lol.
