my local bike shop is 60 miles away and i cant get there for a few weeks ( dads away with work and mum cant drive) so it really has to be a homejob with need items ordered over the internet.

kk, going to try that tomorrow i hope it works.. **hopes** is there anything else that might work? , what about drilling it out then just buying a new bolt to fit the place? <-- more likly to do more damage than good?

Right dude heres a couple of options.
Get somebody to spot weld a key onto it , then unbolt it,or drill it out(carefully) or use a dremel to cut slit in it and use a screw driver. I cant see the thing but one of those should work if youre stuck. Any hardware store will sort you out with a similar threaded bolt that you might need to cut to fit.Just be careful not to damage your threads on the actual brake.

Guess the frame in my picture!!!
    ...the system......you can`t beat it.

kk thanks alot keeko think im gona cut a slit in it, means i dont hve to replace the bolt straight away :) and i can keep riding untill i find the replacment

  • jeez, brora, with the wildcat trails i think golspie has potential for a bike shop, or maybe tain.
the dremel idea sounds best tbh, then a big screwdriver, if that doesnt get enough leverage, mole grips on the shaft of the 'driver, giving it a handle abit like a spanner.
