hi, does the gt ruckus trail (œ539.99 off CRC) have a good strong frame for taking alot of abuse? ive looked at the bike and im going to upgrade the forks( to all mountain 1's) and crankset/drive chain( to the same as chris smiths Gaint reign) and rear mech(not sure what do yet) so the bike will be very versatile but im just wondering if the frame will be strong enought to handle every aspect of riding FR, DH, trails, a little street/park and DJing and a bit of XC ( <- will hardly ever be used for xc)
so will the frame stant up to this or will it break after i few months of everyday riding??

why not just buy a better (more exspensive) bike with the money for upgrades. or is this one of those ongoing upgrade? if so good luck!
the ruckus sould be allright, although i wouldn't go do Dh and FR on it.[;)]0 -
Link would be nice.
In general Ruckus frames are very strong, so it should be fine.

I bought the 05 (I think) Ruckus 2.0 a while back (got it for œ250 almost new).
I ended up replacing pretty much everything, I think all I have left stock is the headset, stem, bars, mechs, tires, and seat/post.
And most of those are due to be replaced soon [:)]
Ive probably spent about œ1000 on it now.
What Im sayin is that although it may have been cheaper to buy a good bike at the start, I was able to slowly build up a bike, and while it may have cost more/been more effort, I could build it to my spec/needs.
And now I have a bike I can DJ/mild DH+FR/XC etc on [:D]

you could get a better bike for œ540 though
if you stretch to about œ650 you will really find a lot of good hardtails that come with a good spec new
and if a bike is œ650 its only œ110 more than the gt so you would probably save quite a bit of money
