well seeing as its nearly half 7 and one hasnt been made yet.

iv got to take my brother to college, concidering making him bike it through the floods and rain, and i stay back here and have breakfast. got work this afternoon from 1400-2200 then working again early tomorow morning.

what are your plans for the day guys and girls?

i did that yesterday, twice. once i saw a car taken to my local garage on a trailer, had an mot last week, now needs a full new engine as the owner took it through deep water too fast, they caould have got away with going slower and traising the suspension. and one stoppedin the middle of a flood, and trying to start it, i didnt tell him that it was because his electrics got wet. useless petrol engines :P

yeah, it is, get a tractor :P or a very high 4x4. or just very slowly and carefully. my way is stop, lift suspension to half way between standard drive and high and proceed slowly-thats for the stupidly deep water weve had round here, iv got a low air intake on mine and dont really want to risk it.

I'm quite thankful that it's right at the top of the grille on fords.

So long as you go slow and keep the revs high, and make sure you keep your bow wave rather than letting water wash over the front you're fine. It's when you start attempting to blitz it through that the trouble starts. That and attempting to restart your petrol car after you've stopped with the exhaust submerged.

theory test is easy. and make sure you get a good examiner for your practical-good as in nice.

if you get into any floods, take alex's advice. besides, iv given up driving petrols, i prefer my sluggish diesel, family hatch xantia. even if it does make me look like an old man

The most important bit is knowing where the air intake is though. It's in the front wheelarch on some Alfas, meaning they get hyrdaulicked in heavy rain [:D]

My second examiner was a top bloke.

I'm talking to him on the way back to the test centre, knowing i've pretty much passed, about the stupid digital speedo on the c2 i'd taken the test in.

All the while I'm doing 30. Religously.

Then i come up on the 30 sign. I'd been doing 30 in a 50. If anyone had overtaken me he'd have had to have failed me. Fortunatly he saw the funny side.
