Just wondering how far into the highlands you usually go. I'm guessing you go Fort William way, so how much further do you go? And which way, Crianlarich or Inverness direction?
Also when? Time it with the Worlds at FW this year?

Crianlarich is the best way.
Edinburgh to Stirling then up that way. 3 hrs. Beats going over the bridge, up the A9 with its variable widths to Inverness, then heading down the country again on an A road when you can motorway across then straight up.

Go to Fort Augustus about once a month. Have also been to the Hebrides, and pretty much everywhere on the west coast and the north.
We go the Crainlarich and Glen Coe way, from Glasgow.

Actually, tbh, I confused Crianlarich with Invergarry!
I'd be interested in coming along, although I'd be coming from the Hebrides so not sure how it will all fit together!

OK sorry If I've totally missed something.
...but are you just asking us if we ever go into the highlands or are you talking about going up for mountain biking?
or are you talking about organising a forum holiday/trip type thing??[?]
soz, I'm just confused.

All depends what time you go, that ways just full of caravans at weekends.
I've done centre of edinburgh to the lift in 2:30hrs via the A9, sure its longer but its a bloody quick road. Hannah got busted a 96mph up there just before the turn off to dalwhinie, lucky me as I was following
"I stepped on something soft and wobbly, struck a match and found it was a dead chinaman"
P.s Im not doing that again.0 -

I live Just north of The Sneck.
A9 is a ghastly road at times but the best if your heading up from Edinburghish way.

wheres the planned ride, since the golspie trials are awesome, no lift though, but could easy be raced DH. and there potential for a tractor uplift since a maintenance land rover track to the monument goes right past the top start [:D]
