Can you see if you can find Irn Bru out there anywhere please? I recall a load of shops that sold British food. I need to know if I should take a stockpile this year, as I got withdrawal last year.

No, i Worked their last season Tavi (and various winters), but I was meant to be bike buddying this season but I couldn't afford to get a bike sorted out in time, so just a holiday.

If they offer me any work, and I can find a way to get my stuff home at the end of the season, I will most certainly stay on

fuck no. It's 3 years old, second hand, and they don't make the parts anymore, so while sympathetic, they wern't of much help. As it is, it's going into the welders tomorrow, so hopefully will be lovely by the end of the week. Then get some new parts sorted and it will be holiday ready, then a re-spray when i get home.

That wasn't the problem though, the problem was that the Brooky wasn't a suitable bike to do guiding all day on. Neededto be a decent sized frame, lighter jobby. Race bike sort of thing. Lots of groups want to pedal between their DH runs, and while I reckon I could still have kicked their arses on the climbs on the Brooky, I would have ruined my back doing it all summer.

Was after an Iron Horse Sunday or a Commencial build or something, but couldn't get enough work fast enough

Can't you find something on ebay? Maybe even look on the French or German ebays and get a frame sent to Le Boomerang and pick it up/build it when you get there?

too late, seasons begun, new bike buddy has been found (top guy called Tom, great drinker).

maybe next year eh. But as I stay, they're a nice lot, and if they find a way of letting me stay on for a bit i'll take it. They did ask me to coem and night porter gain, but for a whole season, you just miss to much of the social life. Great for riding, but sucks for drinking

I loved that Sabre, but I think going back to it from a Brooky might be disappointing. Still got the damned thing, need to do something about selling it really.

On which note, what is the best way to go about sellnig various broken up bike parts.
got a couple of frames, a couple of pairs of forks, etc etc. Not really sure about ebay, never used it and a little scared, but the parts are too specialist to get any interest in local paper adverts.

also got a lot of kinda worknig bits, like 2 sets of brakes that need new seals, a set of forks that need a good service. Worth anything, as I'd feel sad binning them

Ebay really is the best way, it's now pretty much the first place people look for S/H stuff. Unless it's really really specialised, which bike parts arent.
