Hi
I've got a rear hope mono mini 06 with 160 rotor i've been impresed with it till now. For the last month or so the power is just not there really (will slow me down slowly but not lock up), the pads seem to be glazed over so do the usual pop them out sand them down go out re-bed them back in they work fine for the rest of the ride them come back to use them again and were back to a lack or even no power, the disc is clean (trust me i've cleaned it enough times) even changed the pads, bled the brake bout 6 months ago when i fitted some goodridge hoses. So im fresh out of any ideas.
Also i'm using hope standard pads(chatting to a guy at work he seemed to think this was the problem).
Thanks

Normal one it to do with the way people clean there bikes and brakes. Have you started using anything new. As soon as you get oil on your discs or pads your in trouble. I would say 9 out of 10 brakes I see not working very well tend to be oiled up or the pads are just past there best. New fluid, good clean, lube, clean, fresh pads and check alignment just about always fixes hopes. There is not much that goes wrong with them if there well looked after. Just bed your pads in slowly before any big rides.0
