society forks have a strange resembalence of RST's - steer well clear for the time being. rebas would be unsuitable. what front hub do you have is it 20mm compatible, is so look at argles or dj2's. what bike will they be going on?

Marzocchi Dirt Jumper 2 or 3, depending on QR or 20mm.

I have a claud butler stone river. not exactly a jump bike but i find it suits me rather well and im looking to upgrade it as much as i can then buy a new frame after a while of using this one.

What about some rock shox recon forks they seem quite good.

Rockshox Toras are the way mate, strong fork and cheap price tag for the performance. I'd love to recommend pikes but they're out your budget and will require 20mm hubs.
Recons are lovely forks btw but again more of a cross country/light all mountain fork.

Yes but they have steel stanchions and are heavily built. They will take DJ'ing. I know people who dirt jump on them and who have severely hammered them with no problems.

The toras are okay but id prefer the recons and pikes are over my budget and im not gunna get dj's coz ma mate had some and bottomed them on a 4 ft dropp and they were completley screwed over which i find funny as the forks i am currently using are suntour forks which came with the bike and they can take those drops.
